Lesley West
Lesley West is a dedicated philanthropist and community advocate, best known as the founder of Dressed by West, a heartfelt initiative that provides free prom dresses to high school girls in need. Inspired by her experiences in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, when, as the wife of then-New Orleans Hornets player David West, she purchased and distributed 800 discounted dresses to help young women still attend their proms amid widespread hardship, she earned the affectionate nickname "fairy godmother of the prom." This act of compassion sparked the ongoing program, which she has continued and expanded over the years. After moving to California with her family (following David West’s transition to the Golden State Warriors), Lesley recognized similar financial challenges for girls in the East Bay. Through Dressed by West, she partners with the Golden State Warriors, Oakland Unified School District to host large-scale prom dress giveaways. These events turn school gyms into boutique-style shops with hundreds of dresses and fitting rooms, empowering hundreds of students each year to feel confident and celebrated at prom. Lesley encourages recipients to pay it forward by donating or passing on dresses to others in need. Her work reflects a deep commitment to supporting underserved youth, fostering community, and ensuring every girl has the opportunity to shine on one of life's special occasions.

Hong Thach
Born in Hong Kong and raised in the vibrant streets of East Oakland, California. As a proud Oaklander and former East Oakland youth, he has dedicated the past 18 years to uplifting the community through innovative leadership in East Bay K-12 schools' youth programs—serving as a beacon of opportunity and resilience for the next generation.
Hong's deep roots in Oakland shaped his educational journey: he attended Franklin Elementary, Westlake Middle School, Edna Brewer, and Oakland High School. Today, his work circles back to these very institutions, fulfilling a lifelong dream of weaving his professional path back into the fabric of the community where he grew up—zipping across town on BART and forging lifelong bonds in classrooms that now echo with the programs he champions.
With a robust background in community development, human services, and youth-focused organizations, Hong is a dynamic fundraiser and strategic leader who champions sustainability and forward-thinking planning. His expertise extends to board development, cultivation, and governance, where he excels at building collaborative ecosystems for lasting impact. A fierce advocate for the Bay Area's future, he serves as Board President of the Life Goes On Foundation—a nonprofit committed to eradicating senseless gun violence, empowering individuals with spinal cord injuries, and igniting leadership in emerging voices.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Hong is a devoted father to two remarkable daughters: a sophomore at UC Davis and a seventh grader at Encinal Junior Jets, Alameda. He proudly shares the story of delivering his first child, Izellah Thach, at home on March 27, a testament to his resourcefulness and unbreakable family bond.
